Field notes from a rebuilt life

Sober since 2018

Rebuild the
foundation.

I spent years buying old broken homes no one else would touch. When I started rebuilding my health, I knew I had to fix everything. I needed to tear myself apart and rebuild, from a blank slate.

Seven years ago I was 300-plus pounds and dying of alcohol-induced heart failure. Today I'm 190 pounds, sober, and stronger than I have ever been in my life. This is the brutal record of how; the food, the lifting, the relapse-proof thinking, and the parts nobody posts about. The truth.

01 — The story

My heart was failing before I was forty.

I didn't have a wake-up call. I had a hospital bed, a swollen body, and a doctor explaining that alcohol had worn my heart down to the point that it could no longer keep up with my own weight.

What changed wasn't motivation. It was a decision to stop negotiating with myself — first about the bottle, then about the food, then about the way I moved. Seven years of unremarkable days, stacked.

02 — What I actually believe

Four things that rebuilt me.

Everything I write, film, or answer comes back to these. If it doesn't serve them, I don't teach it.

01

Sobriety is the foundation

No supplement, no program, no workout undoes a body that is still being poisoned. Everything else I built stands on the day I stopped drinking.

02

Strength is medicine

A complete lifestyle change fixed the machine from within. I just had to start living to stop dying.

03

Eat to repair, not to punish

Enough complete protein, real food, and no shame at the table. I stopped using food as a reward or a sentence and started using it as material.

04

Consistency over intensity

Seven years of boring, repeated days did what every dramatic restart couldn't. Show up small and unimpressive, on purpose, forever.

03 — Goals

It depends on your goals.

All goals

People asked how I lost the weight, how I got strong, how I got fast. Same answer every time: it depends what you're going after. Pick the outcome — the work underneath it follows.

04 — Watch

Latest transmissions

Watch everything

I film as I go — the hard mornings, the cravings, the work in the gym. New videos land here as they're posted.
